Mugu fire kills minor, guts property worth Rs 10 m

MUGU, Feb 16: One minor died and property worth over 10 million rupees was gutted in fire that broke out in the house of Pashupati Shahi in the district headquarters Gamgadi on early Sunday.

The dead is 11-year-old Janaki Upadhyaya. Victim Upadhyaya was a student who had been taking shelter at Shahi’s house.

The fire that suddenly broke out at Shahi’s house was contained by Nepal Army, Nepal Police with the help of locals.

All goods in the house were reduced to ashes.
